TIME LINE OF EVENTS:
October 31, 2003 Victor Bach is brutally murdered at his place of business, Western Plumbing & Heating, Inc. in San Francisco, CA. San Francisco
December 2-5, 2003 San Francisco Police Department Homicide Inspectors discover Fraud -Embezzlement.
April 2004 Bach family members do a financial ntervention on Kathleen Bach in Redding where she now resides.
August 2004 Remainder beneficiaries of the Bach Living Trust filed to remove Kathleen Bach as Executor of the Bach Living Trust.
December 22, 2004 Kathleen Bach arrested for fraud and embezzlement by the Sherriff's Department of Redding CA and transported to SF County jail. Bail is set at $1,000,000.00.
January 7, 2005 Kathleen Bach released from SF County jail after posting bond.
January 21, 2005 Kathleen Bach pleas not guilty to charges of fraud and embezzlement
February 4, 2005 Carole Sund Carrington Foundation pledges $5000 to start a reward fund for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
February 18, 2005 Preliminary hearing for fraud and embezzlement - DELAYED.
March 14, 2005 SF Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice pledges $10,000.00 towards a reward fund. Total reward now at $15,000.00.
April 2005 Mechanical Contractors Association of America and Local 38 donate to the Victor Bach Reward Fund (VBF). Reward now at $37,500.00.

March - May 2005 The Bach family interviews several private investigators.
May 2005 The Bach family hires a private investigator. SFPD and District Attorney are apprised of this.
April 2004 - May 2005 No court Preliminary hearings. No active investigation by San Francisco Police Department. Both the Homicide and the fraud- embezzlement cases are at a complete stand still.
June 2005 The Victor Bach fund with CitiBank opened to collect donations to help fund the cost of the investigation.
June 2005 The reward information is shown on Nancy Grace, Closing Arguments and National TV.
October 12, 2005 Preliminary hearing fraud-embezzlement DELAYED.
October 28, 2005 Preliminary hearing fraud-embezzlement DELAYED.
October 28, 2005 Wrongful Death suit filed in SF Court.
October 31, 2005 Candlelight vigil held in front of Western Plumbing & Heating. Propane tank explosion nearby takes all the media's attention.  Those that said they would come and cover the vigil do not show.
November 2005 Preliminary hearing fraud-embezzlement DELAYED.
March 2006 Preliminary hearing fraud-embezzlement DELAYED.
March 2006 Kathleen Bach served with Wrongful Death civil suit in Redding, CA.
April 2006 Preliminary hearing fraud-embezzlement DELAYED.

July 23, 2007:  New date to go to court to set the trial date on the court calendar

Postponed again

August 21, 2007:  New date to go to court to set the trial date on the court calendar.

Postponed again

September 13, 2007:  New date to go to court to set the trial date on the court calendar.

Postponed again - expected to go to trial on Februar 15, 2008.

Extension requested

April 1, 2008:  Extension Granted - and they don't mean it as an April Fools joke.

April 8, 2008:  Case is transferred to a new judge - trial is now calendared for September 15, 2008.

April 30 - September 15, 2008:  All motions need to occur

September 15, 2008:  Parameters for the jury are set

New date for Jury Selection - moved to October 15, 2008

October 16, 2008:  Jury selection held over to October 22nd.

October 22, 2008:  Jury selection set to begin

October 27, 2008:  Trial begins with opening arguments and the first witness

October 28-29, 2008:  more witness testimony

October 30-31, 2008:  Court closed till Monday, November 3.

November 3, 2008:  Testimony to continue

November 5, 2008: Further testimony and closing arguments

November 10, 2008:  Deliberation begins

November 14, 2008:  Deliberations end with Kathleen found guilty of 13 counts.  Sentencing date set for December 19, 2008

December 2, 2008:  Sentencing date postponed until January.  No firm date.

April 24, 2009:  Sentencing date now scheduled for June 24, 2009.  New trial as requested by the public defender was denied.

June 22, 2009:  Sentencing date postponed June 30, 2009, 2pm. 

June 30, 2009:  Sentencing finally happened.  Sentenced to 9 yr 8 months.  Hearing on the amount of "time served" and restitution amount to be held on July 22, 2009.

July 2006 All the civil suits are court mandated to Complex Litigation Suits against Kathleen Bach include those by Western Plumbing and Heating Co., Apple-Stine Trust, Bach Family Trust, Wrongful Death and two for Wells Fargo Bank.
August 2006 Grand Jury indicted Kathleen Bach on twenty-four (24) counts of fraud-embezzlment.
August 2006 Arraignment for fraud-embezzlement DELAYED.
September 2006 Arraignment for fraud-embezzlement DELAYED.
September 2006 Arraignment for fraud-embezzlement DELAYED for the second time this month.
September 14, 2006 San Francisco Police Dept grant permission to erect Reward Billboard.
SF Mayor Newsom selected Vic Bach's homicide as one of 10 to receive an increased reward from $10,000 to $100,000. Reward total is now $127,500.00.
October 12, 2006 Kathleen Bach pleads not guilty to the fraud-embezzlement.
January 10, 2007 Pre-trial for fraud-embezzlement.
Trial postponed till later in the year.
